Urban Flat

For this design, I was challenged to create a livable apartment in a small, two story footprint. I kept the color palette light with black accents to to tie in with the window trim. Careful not to over-complicate the interior, I focused on comfortable furnishings, simple contemporary lighting fixtures and built-ins to maximize space. For the bedroom, I added window blinds for privacy and wallpaper that complements to rest of the interior. The result is a clean, modern look.

Happy accidents: I selected the wallpaper based on the soft color scheme and was thrilled to discover that the leaf pattern matches the live plants. I was also pleased to find a long narrow light fixture that disappears over the desk.
