Scandi Bathroom
200 sq. ft. space
For this design, I completely remodeled a 200 sq. ft. main bathroom suite. The owners love Scandinavian design and were looking to make the room appear larger and bring in more light. We removed a couple walls and created a spa-like environment with horizontal wood paneling and crisp white cabinetry.
I was able to keep the shower plumbing in the original location while converting the acrylic drop in shower unit into a zero threshold design with glass door panel. A wall now separates the shower from the toilet for more privacy.
Contemporary brass sconces and ceiling fixtures were selected to pick up on the warm wall tones and above-counter sinks were added to break up to the long counter.
Happy accident: I was thrilled to find a wallpaper design with a floral pattern that not only works with the color palette, but also mimics the shape of the sconces. The runner was also a lucky find— it adds balance, contrast, and texture to the room.
