Forest Friends Childcare Center

2,450 sq. ft. space serving 18 months - 4 years

This project allowed me to flex my space planning muscles by using our personal experience with my daughter’s Montessori preschool. I kept the color palette simple with consistent hues for North-South and East-West facing walls. And by using artwork sparingly, the design is clean and uncluttered allowing the child to focus on individual activities and environments.

Happy accident: I was planning to design an outdoor space as well,
but then thought, "Hey, I can bring that slide inside!"
