Boutique Hotel Room

The challenge here was to create a sophisticated small space for a boutique hotel. I set the cabinets in the wall to pick up some room and frosted the windows to hide a closet in one and a refrigerator and coffee bar in the other. The mirrored vanity could easily be swapped out for a desk and television, but I prefer the idea of a room used for rest and relaxation vs. work. I love the way the black coving works with the bed frame, and I picked light colors for the floors and walls so the room doesn't feel too heavy.

Happy accident: I originally planned to just use the curtains behind the bed, but added them behind the vanity and at the entrance for added privacy. I think it gives more dimension and ties the elements together in a lovely way.
